Have you seen this viral video that’s going around? It’s by the band OK Go, a group that became famous a while back for their treadmill dance video that went viral. If you take the fun and sublime cleverness from the treadmill video, and then add adorable trick dogs, that’s a pretty good idea of what you get with the band’s “White Knuckles.” It’s delightful.
The video debuted on a recent episode of the Ellen DeGeneres Show — she’s a huge animal lover. The band is selling copies of the video and donating some of the proceeds to the ASPCA, earmarked for rural rescue efforts.
The video came about when Trish Sie, the choreographer/director sister of one of the guy’s in the band (who happens to have two rescue dogs), met animal trainer Roland Sonnenburg.
Twelve dogs, mostly rescues, star in the video — with an appearance by band member Damian Kulash’s rescue pup, Bunny Carlos, a little brown one on the left when the guys are spinning on stools. It took 124 takes, filmed over three days.
